It was a momentous weekend for one Tulsa high school teacher, who had a rare chance to perform in the hit Broadway musical Hairspray and your votes helped get her there.
Leslie Goshko, who teaches at the Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences, was one of many who submitted an online video in Hairspray's Big Bopper Dance Topper contest. Folks voted for their favorite dancer and Leslie won!
The News On 6’s Carina Sonn was there when Goshko rehearsed for last weekend's performance. Click here to see that video. Leslie Goshko says the whole experience was surreal, and she wasn't afraid of debuting in front of 1,500 people in New York City. "I don't see a worst, I mean I get to be on a Broadway stage so even if there's something that happens or goes amiss or awry, I don't see that as a worst thing."
Leslie Goshko picked up her dance routine in only a couple of hours.
Tuesday and Wednesday on 6 In The Morning, Carina Sonn will have more on Leslie’s big Broadway debut.
