The man arrested in Oklahoma for the murder of his father and stepmother in Iowa says he had been "thinking about doing it for about four years." 52-year-old Russell Overlin is charged in the deaths of 81-year-old Gilbert Overlin and 71-year-old Naomi Overlin. The couple's bodies were found on their Iowa farm earlier this month.
Russell Overlin was arrested a week later at a motel in Miami. Authorities have not released details of the slayings. An additional search warrant remains sealed under a judge's order.
Russell Overlin, a sporadically employed truck driver, lived in a trailer on his parent's property. He is being held under a $500,000 bond.
