OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ After winter weather twice forced the postponement of Remington Park's initial training races of the year for quarter horses, the track plans to hold the events Wednesday and Thursday.

The training races are used by horsemen trying to prepare their athletes for the start of the track's 50-day quarter horse meet, which will begin on March 9th.

Nine training races will be held on both Wednesday and Thursday, with the first post set for 11:30 am each day.

The National Weather Service says high temperatures those days will be in the 60s to mid 70s.
