The US Postal Service held a mini-fair Thursday in an effort to make it easier for Oklahomans who want to get a US passport.
Thursday, trained postal employees set up shop in the BOk building to walk people through the application process. It's actually called a passport fair and it's something the post office hopes to do more of in the future.
“These fairs are a way to bring the convenience of the process out to the customer so they don't have to go to the post office and it makes it a little bit more fun, door prices things like that," says USPS spokesperson Beth Fisk.
Anyone traveling by air outside the US, including Mexico and Canada must now have a passport. If you need one, apply now, the process usually takes about 6 weeks to finish.
