Fire broke out at the historic Union Depot building in downtown Tulsa Wednesday evening. Tulsa firefighters were able to put out the fire rather quickly. It is believed the damage to the Union Depot building near 1st and Cincinnati was minimal.
When Tulsa firefighters arrived just before 8 p.m., they found flames shooting from the roof.
Fire officials say the fire started on wooded trusses near a heating and air conditioning unit and burned through a small portion of the roof.
The depot is undergoing a $4 million renovation as part of the Vision 2025 tax package. It's the future home of the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame and currently houses offices for the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra.
