OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Police arrested a 15-year-old boy for allegedly setting a girl's hair on fire at John Marshall High School.

Keenan J. Sharp was charged Tuesday in Oklahoma County District Court on a complaint of first-degree arson.

A 16-year-old girl told police that she heard a clicking noise that sounded like a cigarette lighter, felt a burning sensation and discovered her hair was on fire, Sgt. Paco Balderrama said.

"The victim had what was described as half an inch of hair burned from the back of her head and red marks on her neck," Balderrama said.

According to court documents, the girl suffered first- and second-degree burns to her neck. Sharp was in the Oklahoma County jail Tuesday evening. Bail was set at $10,000.
