Moses Ehambe came off the bench to score 16 points for the Golden Eagles (18-8, 10-1), going 5-7 on 3-point shots. He scored 10 points in the 2nd-half to fuel a run that broke open a tie game.
After Steve Barnes, who led Southern Utah (15-10, 5-5) with 14 points, sank a trey to knot the score at 37 early in the 2nd-half, ORU outscored the Thunderbirds 32-6 over the next 13 minutes.
A Shawn King basket gave ORU a 39-37 lead, and Ken Tutt scored all 7-of his points during the next 3-minutes to increase the Golden Eagles' advantage to 50-40. The Thunderbirds were never closer than 10 points again.
Oral Roberts had its biggest lead at 79-51 after an Adam Liberty trey with 3:35 remaining.
The Golden Eagles, who outrebounded Southern Utah 38-28, swept the two-game season series with Southern Utah and have won 10 straight over the Thunderbirds dating back to 2003.
Green had 15 points in the first half to help ORU take a 37-34 lead into intermission.
Neither team led by more than 5-points during the 1st-half.
