EDINBURG, Texas (AP) _ Oklahoma recorded its first win of the baseball season Sunday, overcoming five errors to beat Texas-Pan American 6-5 in the final game of the UTPA Classic.

Junior Joe Dunigan's infield single in the top of the 9th inning drove in the tiebreaking run for OU, and reliever Garrett Richards pitched a scoreless bottom of the 9th to pick up the win.

The Sooners led 4-0 after a 3-run home run by freshman Aaron Baker in the top of the 3rd inning. Texas-Pan American tied the game at 4-all in the 6th inning.

Jackson Williams went 2-3 with 2 RBIs for the Sooners, and OU starting pitcher Joseph Hughes allowed 3 hits and 4 unearned runs and struck out 5 batters in 6 innings.

OU improves to 1-2 while Texas-Pan American falls to 2-1.
