Getting to a Super Bowl is a dream for any football fan. Tickets to the big game are very expensive, if you can find them.
As News on 6 reporter Rick Wells explains, a Tulsa man is going for free. Not only two tickets to the game, but five days and four nights in Miami and an "on field" pass to the halftime show.
Wednesday morning, Bank of Oklahoma’s Mike Judd gave Dan Mayes what for him may be the ultimate prize, tickets to the Super Bowl. And of course, Dan Mayes was very excited. "Very, very, very, I've never gotten to go to a Super Bowl or anything like it before."
BOK customers who used their BOK check cards during November and December were eligible to win.
While Dan was picking up the tickets, his wife Michele was at work at the child developement center at Tulsa’s First Christian Church. Michele is pregnant with their fourth, so she's opted to stay home. "I'll probably watch the game, in between I'll be taking care of all the kids."
Michele’s father's going instead.
Ok, so there has got to be a trade off, a trip to Miami or stay home with three kids. Michelle says, "he said he was gonna bring me home a foam finger." Dan also said she could shop all she wanted while he was gone.
So Super Bowl Sunday could become Super Shopping Sunday for the Mayes family.
