A convicted killer is now charged in Tulsa County with burglary and obstructing an officer. Charles McDaniel was serving life in prison for a 1989 Tulsa murder, when he and Tony Ellison escaped from a Hinton prison last week.
Investigators say the two kidnapped a woman near the prison and drove her and her car to Oklahoma City where they beat another woman and stole her car.
The pair was caught a couple days later in Tulsa. Ellison hanged himself in the Tulsa County jail on Thursday.
McDaniels was arraigned by video Tuesday morning on the new charges.
