TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Marchello Vealy had 17 points and a career-high 16 rebounds as he came off the bench to propel Oral Roberts past Oakland 73-63.

Vealy went 6-of-8 from the field and scored 12 of his points in the final 16 minutes after ORU, which led most of the game, fell behind 42-39 Thursday night.

Caleb Green scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Golden Eagles who broke a tie with Oakland (12-10, 5-1) to take over the lead in the Mid-Continent Conference.

Derick Nelson paced the Grizzlies with 19 points and Vova Severovas added 12 points.

Shawn King's layup with 10 minutes left snapped a tie and gave ORU a 48-46 lead it never relinquished.

After the Golden Eagles scored five straight points to move to 61-52, Oakland could get no closer than nine the rest of the game.

ORU, which has won eight in a row, shot 55 percent from the field compared to 40 percent for Oakland.
