NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ The University of Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams will be in Lincoln, Nebraska Saturday for the Adidas Classic.
All-American pole vaulters Chip Heuser, currently ranked sixth in the NCAA, and Scott Martin lead the Sooners at the meet hosted by the University of Nebraska.
Several Division One teams -- including Nebraska, Colorado State, Drake, Iowa State, Minnesota, Oral Roberts and Wichita State -- will compete.
The Sooners look to qualify more student-athletes for the NCAA Championships. Three OU athletes -- Kevin Bookout at the shot put, Shardae Boutte on triple jump and Heuser with the pole vault -- provisionally qualified for the NcAAs at the team's season opener last weekend.
