SHAWNEE, Okla. (AP) -- A woman laid off from her job at an Oklahoma City tire plant has won more than $280,000 at an Oklahoma casino.

Tuwanna Green lost her job at the Dayton Tire Plant when the company announced in October it was closing the plant.

Green, a Dayton worker for seven years, decided to find a part-time job and go back to school although the cost of continuing her education posed a significant financial burden.

During a trip to the Firelake Grand Casino with her aunt and uncle on January 18th, Green won the jackpot after investing just $40 in a progressive gaming network game.

On December 26th, a Bristow woman won a $334,000 jackpot while playing a progressive gaming network game.
