McALESTER, Okla. (AP) -- A pickup truck carrying radioactive materials that was swept into Coal Creek in Pittsburg County has been found.
Undersheriff Richard Sexton says the truck is about a quarter mile downstream from where it was swept away Sunday and officials are waiting for waters to recede so they can get it out.
Sexton says there doesn't appear to be any hazard to the public because the material is in a container bolted to the truck. The material is used in pipeline scanning equipment.
Two people who were in the truck escaped uninjured as the truck was carried into the creek.
