PRYOR, Okla. (AP) _ Another deadly traffic accident may be due to wintry weather in Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 18-year-old John Lomon of Adair was killed when the car he was driving hydroplaned on a wet county road just north of Pryor in Mayes County.
Troopers say the car went off the road just after 9:15 Sunday night and traveled more than 200 feet before hitting a tree and rolling onto its top. The car then skidded another 60 feet upside down before coming to a stop.
Lomon was dead on arrival at a Pryor hospital.
Authorities say 18 people have died in traffic accidents across Oklahoma since a winter storm hit the state ten days ago.
