Some good news for the town of Checotah. The Checotah Police Department reports power was restored to two-thirds of the community around 1:30AM Wednesday.

The chief says, if the remaining one-third of the people don't have generators, they probably don't have any power. And if they do have a generator, they'd better have gasoline. There was only one gas station in the area with working pumps Tuesday. And the wait was about two hours long.

The town does have water.

The rest of the city's power should be restored by Friday.
