WASHINGTON (AP) -- Two members of Oklahoma's congressional delegation are praising President Bush for acting quickly to approve a disaster declaration following this weekend's ice storm.
Republican Senator Jim Inhofe recalled making phone calls almost every hour for three days to seek a disaster declaration during last year's wildfires. This time, he was much more pleased with the response.
Congressman Dan Boren called it "exactly how federal response to a natural disaster should work." The Democrat also praised state and local officials for their response to the storm.
