A Tulsa man has waived his right to a re-sentencing trial in the 1989 death of a Tulsa boy.

During a hearing Friday in Tulsa County District Court, Wayne Garrison was given a no-parole life prison sentence. Garrison received the sentence without admitting guilt. The sentence spared him from potentially getting the death penalty again.

Garrison was convicted in 2004 of the murder and dismemberment of 13 year old Justin Wiles. Justin vanished in 1989 and parts of his body were found 4 days later in Lake Bixhoma.

Garrison was convicted and sentence in 2004, but the state court of Criminal Appeals affirmed the first degree murder conviction, but reversed the death sentence.
