Another round of sleet, ice and bitterly cold temperatures is in Oklahoma's forecast for Saturday.

The National Weather Service said an ice storm warning is in effect until Sunday evening in all but far southeastern Oklahoma, where a flash flood watch is in effect.

Wintry conditions will follow arctic air that will blanket the state behind a cold front. Freezing rain and possibly some light snow can be expected across much of the state.

By the beginning of next week, dry conditions will return. Expect much colder temperatures throughout the week as arctic air settles in.

Occasional freezing rain, sleet or snow will fall across the state on Saturday. There is a chance of rain and isolated thunderstorms in far southeastern Oklahoma. Locally heavy rainfall is possible. Highs will range from the mid teens in the Oklahoma Panhandle to the lower 50s in the southeast.

Saturday night bill bring more freezing rain, sleet or snow to the state. Showers and thunderstorms are likely in the southeast, with locally heavy rainfall possible. Lows will range from the single digits in the far western Panhandle to the mid 30s in southeastern Oklahoma.

More freezing rain, sleet or snow is in Sunday's forecast, and showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible in far southeastern Oklahoma. Highs will range from the upper teens and 20s in western and central Oklahoma to the 30s and 40s in the southeast. Lows will range from the single digits to the 30s.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain and light freezing rain in far southeastern Oklahoma. Highs will be in the 20s and 30s. Lows will range from the single digits in the Panhandle to the upper 20s in far southeastern Oklahoma.

Tuesday will be partly cloudy and cold with a slight chance of light freezing rain. Highs will be mostly in the 20s and 30s with lows ranging from the single digits to the 20s.

Wednesday will be partly cloudy. With highs in the 20s and 30s and lows in the teens and single digits.
