DALLAS (AP) _ Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens had successful surgery in Miami to repair a torn tendon in his right ring finger.
Owens Friday said he's very happy and the doctor is optimistic that he'll return to 100 percent.
Owens vowed to be ready for the 2007 season.
Owens, who injured the finger in the latter part of the season, had the procedure Thursday.
The Cowboys declined comment.
Owens last season caught 85 passes for one-thousand, 180 yards and an NFL-high 13 touchdowns, but was plagued by drops.
The Cowboys finished 9-7, then lost to Seattle in a wild-card playoff game.
Dallas faces the question of whether to bring Owens back for the second year of his three-year deal. Owens is in line to get a $3 million roster bonus in June.
It was the second surgery involving the player's right ring finger in five months.
