UNDATED (AP) -- Throw another blanket on the bed -- Oklahoma's mild winter weather is about to end.
The National Weather Service says a winter storm packing freezing rain, ice and bitterly cold temperatures is forecast to descend on Oklahoma tomorrow, making travel treacherous through the weekend.
Ice storm warnings are in effect through Sunday for western, central and far northeastern Oklahoma as a blast of arctic air moves across the state.
A winter storm watch is in effect through Sunday in the Oklahoma Panhandle and south-central and eastern Oklahoma. A freezing rain advisory is in effect Friday for far northwestern Oklahoma and a flash flood watch will remain in effect through Sunday in far southeastern Oklahoma.
