ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) -- Police in Arkansas City are working to build a case against a county inmate who may be linked to the disappearance of a missing 19-year-old woman.
Some of the Cowley College dance team say the man had been stalking some of the team's members. The missing woman, Jodi Sanderholm, was a member of the team.
Authorities still have not said if a female body found about eight miles from the lake where her car was found Tuesday is Sanderholm's.
Cowley County Attorney Christopher Smith said Wednesday that no decision has been made as to what charges would be filed against a man who was being held on unrelated charges.
Kansas Attorney General Paul Morrison's office has agreed to assist in the case. That office said Wednesday it could be days before charges are filed.
