LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A couple of Oklahomans picked up honors at the 33rd annual People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
Checotah native Carrie Underwood was chosen Tuesday night as favorite female singer and her song "Before He Cheats" won favorite country song.
The country music band Rascal Flats, which features Picher native Joe Don Rooney, picked up the favorite song from a movie honor for its cover of "Life is a Highway" from the movie, "Cars." The band's performance on "Life is a Highway" also won for favorite music remake.
