UNDATED (AP) The NFL starts postseason play Saturday with two games. Saturday afternoon the Indianapolis Colts are playing host to Kansas City while Saturday night it'll be Seattle at home to Dallas.
The game features the running of KC's Larry Johnson, the league's second-leading rusher, against the porous Colts' defense. Johnson carried the ball for 1,789 yards while the Colts run defense is ranked dead last in the league. The Colts and Chiefs met in the playoffs three years ago with Indy winning 38-31.
Defending NFC champion Seattle enters its game against Dallas with the same record as the Cowboys, 9-7. Dallas enters the game on a slide, having lost two straight and three of four. The Seahawks have also fallen on hard times of late as they had to win their final game of the season to snap a three game losing streak. The good news for the 'Hawks is the continued improvement of running back Shaun Alexander. Last year's leading rusher in the NFL missed six games this season with a cracked bone but has been improving with each game since rejoining the club on November 19th.
