A head on collision on a Tulsa highway sends three people to the hospital overnight. It happened around 12:30 AM Friday on Interstate-44 just west of Garnett.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a man was driving the wrong way on the interstate. A truck driver saw him and swerved to avoid him. Another car didn't see it in time, and the two cars collided. One vehicle hit the semi as well.
The westbound lanes of I-44 were closed for a couple of hours to get the injured to the hospital and clean up the interstate.
There's no word on the victims' conditions, but the injuries don't appear to be life threatening.
Officials say alcohol may have played a role in the accident.
