TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Caleb Green scored 22 points to spark Oral Roberts past Western Illinois 65-to-46 in a Mid-Continent Conference opener for both teams.

Moses Ehambe came off the bench to add 13 points, including three treys, for ORU (8-7, 1-0 MidCon) Thursday night.

Western Illinois hit 17-of-65 from the field compared with 44 percent shooting for the Golden Eagles. Sammy Hunter scored 14 points to lead the Leathernecks (4-10, 0-1), who have lost nine of their last 11 games.

ORU led 31-20 at intermission and opened the second half with a 13-to-4 run to break the game open.

The Golden Eagles' had a 51-28 advantage with 8:42 left when Western Illinois cut its deficit to 60-45 with 2:51 left.

Ehambe sank two free throws and a trey to repel the Leathernecks' comeback bid.
