OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Older Oklahomans are being offered help ranging from assistance in buying medications to minor home repairs.
The Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma is giving nearly $600,000 to Oklahoma's eleven Area Agencies on Aging to pay for the assistance to Oklahomans who are 55 or older and eligible for the help.
Those eligible can apply for financial help in paying utility bills, prescription medications and medical bills. Money is also available for home repairs such as weather-proofing or building wheelchair ramps.
Residents should contact a local Area Agency on Aging for information about applying for the assistance.
