Arkansas Man Charged With Capital Murder In Deaths Of Girlfriend, 2 Oklahoma Children

FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) -- Arkansas prosecutors filed three counts of capital murder today against a man who police say killed his girlfriend and her two young children who were visiting for Christmas.

30-year-old James Aaron Miller was charged with capital murder in the deaths of 28-year-old Bridgette Barr her 5-year-old daughter Sydney, and 2 year-old son Garrett.

Police say the children lived with their father, Ray Barr, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and were visiting their mother for the holidays.

The charges were filed in Sebastian County Circuit Court early Wednesday afternoon after a judge found probable cause for Miller's arrest. Miller is scheduled for an arraignment Thursday morning.
