DALLAS (AP) _ For the third time in four weeks, an Oklahoma State Cowboy has been named the Big 12 Conference's men's basketball player of the week.
Mario Boggan, a senior forward for OSU, was named the conferences player of the week for the second time this season. In two games at Tennessee and against Pittsburgh, the Durham, North Carolina, native averaged 25 points and 7.5 rebounds.
He scored a career-high 30 points with a key basket in the final minute of a 95-to-89 double-overtime victory against then seventh-ranked Pittsburgh. He also had nine rebounds, two assists and a steal against the Panthers.
On December 18th, he had 20 points and six rebounds as OSU dropped a 79-to-77 decision at Tennessee.
Boggan shot 51.5 percent from the floor in the two games and was 16-of-19 from the free-throw line.
