TULSA, Okla. (AP) Jamel McLean grabbed a game-high 7 rebounds and tallied 14 points to lead Tulsa to a 66-48 victory against Eastern Michigan.
McLean hit all 6 of his field goal attempts and Ray Reese came off the bench to add 10 points for the Golden Hurricane (9-2) Saturday.
TU led 44-42 with 12:46 to play after a field goal by Eastern Michigan's Craig Cashen, who finished with 8 points. But from there, the Golden Hurricane outscored the Eagles (2-8) by a 22-6 margin to claim the victory.
Eastern Michigan scored the game's first 8 points while shooting 55 percent from the floor in the opening half.
TU didn't get on the scoreboard until Reese hit a 3-pointer with 14:06 left before halftime.
Eastern Michigan extended its lead to 15-5, but Ben Uzoh's 3-pointer with 7:22 remaining in the half knotted the score at 17. Tulsa led 34-30 at the half.
Brandon Bowdry paced the Eagles with 9 points and 6 rebounds.
