OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol will be joining in a national effort this weekend intended to reduce traffic accidents.
Operation CARE Life Saver weekend runs Friday through Sunday with troopers concentrating on stopping drunk and drinking drivers.
Lieutenant Pete Norwood says sobriety checkpoints will be established on roadways statewide and troopers will be specifically assigned to DUI enforcement.
