A Tulsa man accused of child pornography is due back in federal court Thursday afternoon for a hearing.
David Abston skipped his federal court appearance last month, but police nabbed him in Bixby. Abston faces federal charges of distributing child pornography, but he says he's not guilty. Tulsa Police are still building their case against him.
News on 6 reporter Omar Villafranca has learned that Tulsa Police detectives served another search warrant this week.
According to court documents, the FBI found evidence that a boy was living with Abston. The News on 6 obtained a copy of the latest police department search warrant in the David Abston case. This time, police took DNA, .in the form of swabs of saliva from Abston and eight other people.
The latest search warrant affidavit also says that while the FBI was searching Abston's home last month, agents found evidence that a child lived at Abston's house and alerted the Tulsa Police Department.
Shortly after Abston was captured last month, Tulsa Police served their warrant and took carpet samples, photos of three boys and adult DVDs from Abston's home.
The affidavit also says that during the investigation, several boys told detectives they were exposed to pornography and sexual devices. They also told police, sex acts were performed on them.
Tulsa Police have been tight lipped about the investigation, since they have not yet handed their case over to the Tulsa County district attorney’s office.
Abston is currently in the Tulsa County jail.
