OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A report being released Tuesday says Oklahoma is the best in the nation in being prepared for a catastrophic health event or terror attack.

The report by the Trust for America's Health gives Oklahoma a perfect 10 of 10 in a list of preparations which include the ability to distribute medicine and supplies and to detect biological agents in case of a terrorist attack.

The state also rates highly for surveillance for influenza and the ability to provide space in hospitals in case of a moderate pandemic.

The Trust for America's Health is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC.
