OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The New Orleans Hornets shook off their recent slump to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 95-89.
Chris Paul had 30 points and 11 assists as the Hornets won for only the second time in their last nine games. New Orleans had scored 80 points or fewer in four of those losses.
Paul hit the tie-breaking basket to trigger the Hornets' 6-0 run in the final 1:45. He also hit 2 free throws with 19.2 seconds to play.
The Hornets shot almost 55 percent for the game and held the Cavs scoreless for nearly 4½ minutes of the 4th quarter. Cleveland led 73-72 entering the final period.
LeBron James finished with just 15 points, 12 points below his average.
