MUSTANG, Okla. (AP) _ Shattuck tailback Haydon Harris rushes for 164 yards and four touchdowns as the Indians win their fourth straight Class C high school football title, routing Temple 40-to-14.
Shattuck finished at 13-and-0 and extended its winning streak to 54 games. That's 36 shy of the state record of 90 straight wins, held by another eight-man power, Morrison.
Before their current run, the Indians had won only one state football title, a Class A crown in 1991.
The Indians were blessed for most of the game last night with good field position, starting only one possession deeper than their own 38-yard line. Shattuck finished with 400 yards of offense, all on the ground.
Temple finishes at 10-and-3.
