STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) Oklahoma State's women's soccer team is ranked as high as 12th in season-ending polls released Tuesday.

The Cowgirls are ranked 12th nationally by Soccer Buzz and 17th by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. It is the first time OSU has finished a season as a ranked team.

OSU finished 17-3-3 this season and made its second NCAA tournament appearance. The Cowgirls lost on penalty kicks in the tournament's second round to Clemson.

National champion North Carolina finished #1 in both polls.
