WASHINGTON (AP) _ An annual health report released Tuesday puts Oklahoma 44th in the nation in the health of citizens.
The report is compiled by United Health Foundation which is a not-for-profit foundation funded by health care company UnitedHealth Group.
The report is based on factors including smoking, motor vehicle deaths, high school graduation rates, children in poverty and access to and quality of health care.
Minnesota ranks at the top of the list as the healthiest state for the fourth straight year with Vermont second followed by Hawaii and Connecticut.
Louisiana is listed as the least healthy state followed by Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee and Arkansas.
