MUSTANG, Okla. (AP) Perennial eight-man power Morrison wins its 12th state high school football title by routing Davenport 56-14 in the Class B championship game.
Quarterback Shawn Walls and running back Ricky Holba combined for six touchdowns last night for the Wildcats, who finished 14-0 and won their fourth title in the past five years.
Morrison outgained the Bulldogs 193 yards to minus 2 yards in the first quarter and led 28-0 by midway through the second quarter.
Walls, who attempted only one pass, carried 17 times for 207 yards and three touchdowns and Holba added 24 carries for 214 yards and three touchdowns.
Morrison finished with 475 rushing yards on 55 attempts.
Billy Jack Murphy led Davenport with 18 carries for 93 yards. The Bulldogs had entered the game on a 10-game winning streak and finished 11-3.
