OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Governor Brad Henry says last week's heavy snowfall is allowing him to lift a ban on outdoor burning in north-central Oklahoma.

The ban was lifted for all but four counties in September and October. Now the governor says he's removing that ban for those remaining counties which are Garfield, Grant, Pawnee and Osage.

Henry says residents should still use common sense when burning outdoors and that he won't hesitate to reinstate the ban if needed.

The state has been under some form of burn ban for eleven of the past 14 months.
