OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Blood Institute says the need for blood donors is critical.
OBI officials say they needed to collect 800 units of blood each day to maintain an adequate supply but just 100 units were collected yesterday -- perhaps due to a winter storm that dumped ice and snow on roads statewide.
Doctor Ron Gilcher says the institute is looking especially for donors with O-positive and O-negative blood.
