PAWHUSKA, Okla. (AP) -- A 72-year-old Ponca City man dies after a collision involving his pickup and two tractor-trailers in Osage County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Jackie Love died in the accident that happened shortly after 6:30 AM Tuesday on US Highway 60 about 3 miles west of Pawhuska.
The OHP says that a tractor-trailer driven by James A. Jewell of Pawnee was turning into a private drive when another tractor-trailer, driven by Kevin Garoutte of Bartlesville, hit Jewell's vehicle in the rear.
While the other two vehicles still were in motion, Love's pickup struck Garoutte's vehicle in the rear. Love was taken to a Pawhuska hospital, where he died.
Jewell was taken to a hospital in stable condition with head and internal injuries. Garoutte was not injured.
