OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Governor Brad Henry and first lady Kim Henry are among about 200 Oklahomans heading for New York to view in person Oklahoma's centennial float in the 80th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The float, called "Oklahoma Rising," depicts the state's 100-year statehood history and will include a covered wagon pulled by Clydesdales. The huge horses, owned by Oklahoma City businessman Bob Funk, were trucked to New York last week.
For the second consecutive year, Oklahoma celebrities will ride on the state float in the Thanksgiving Day event.
