LAHAINA, Hawaii (AP) Robert Dozier had 13 points to lead #12 Memphis over Oklahoma 77-65 Monday in the opening round of the EA Sports Maui Invitational.

The Tigers will play in the semifinals Tuesday against the winner of the game between #19 Georgia Tech and Purdue.

Memphis took control at the start of the 2nd half by hitting 7 of its first 10 shots to lead 58-42 with 12 minutes left.

Oklahoma drew within 10 points twice.

But the Tigers were able to improve their foul shooting and keep their lead over the final 2Â½ minutes.

Memphis hurt itself by missing 14 of its first 27 free throw attempts before finishing 20-37.

Michael Neal finished with 18 points for Oklahoma.

Taylor Griffin added 16 points and 10 rebounds.
