MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- A state prison inmate is charged in a federal indictment with sending threatening letters to two federal judges and a Muskogee man.
Shawn Knutson is accused of sending the letters to Judges James Payne and Ronald White at the federal courthouse in Muskogee and to Raymond Barns of Muskogee.
The indictment says the letters to the judge's say - quote - "I want to kill you. As a matter of fact I will kill you. I must be released first."
The letters were signed "The Hunter" and include Knutson's name and Department of Corrections number.
Knutson is already serving ten years at the State Penitentiary in McAlester for mailing threatening or intimidating letters and faces another 25 years if convicted on all three counts.
