CLAYTON, Okla. (AP) -- A southeast Oklahoma man is spending his retirement helping ranchers market buffalo meat online.

Kenneth Bible retired to his hometown of Clayton five years ago and found farmers and ranchers working outside jobs to support their cattle operations.

Bible had nearly 20 years experience in sales and marketing and saw an opportunity to help.

He developed indianterritorymeats.com which now markets buffalo meat online to individuals nationwide and to local retail outlets.

The National Bison Association says the sale of buffalo meat is increasing nationwide and Bible thinks that's because people are becoming more health-conscious and the meat is lower in fat, calories and cholesterol.
