OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Fans at Remington Park almost saw a horse racing rarity, a triple dead-heat.
Three horses in an optional allowance turf race at the Oklahoma City track on Friday night finished inches apart, Notable Okie, Runaway Choice and Dragooner.
Track stewards, after looking at a photo of the finish, declared Notable Okie the winner by a nose, giving him his third win this year at Remington Park.
Runaway Choice was declared to have finished second and Dragooner third.
Triple dead-heats are exceedingly rare in horse racing. It's believed that the last time one happened in Oklahoma was in a March 1998 race at Blue Ribbon Downs in Sallisaw.
