NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Courtney Paris had 24 points and nine rebounds to lead Oklahoma to a dominating 93-55 win Tuesday against Missouri Western.
In the Sooners' second and final exhibition game, they trailed by two to begin the game and would never trail again. Oklahoma used a 30-6 run to take a 51-25 halftime lead behind the All-American center, who had 14 points and seven rebounds in the first half.
Paris, the reigning Big 12 Conference player of the year, watched the game from the bench for most of the second half after the Sooners used a 6-2 run after halftime to take a 30-point lead.
Oklahoma freshmen performed well as guard Nyehsia Stevenson scored 18 points and forward Amanda Thompson added eight points and seven rebounds.
Ashley Paris, Courtney's twin, led the Sooners with 14 rebounds as the team had 20 more than the Griffons.
Inga Buzoka scored 17 points and had seven rebounds to lead Missouri Western. The Griffons shot 33 percent for the game and had 28 turnovers.
The Sooners, who went 33-5 last season with a trip to the Sweet 16, begin their regular season on Nov. 12 when they host DePaul in the State Farm Tipoff Classic.
