IRVING, Texas (AP) Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens downplay a report that he falls asleep in team meetings.

Owens responded â€œas long as I don't sleep on Sundayâ€ as he left the locker room at the team's practice facility Friday.

He didn't do interviews.

The receiver earlier told the Dallas Morning News that he informed the Cowboys about a sleeping problem before signing with Dallas.

Owens also says he hasn't been staying out late.

Owens said the problem dates to the first stop of his career in San Francisco, where he said receivers coach George Stewart thought he was staying up too late.

Owens said he'd go to bed early, still get to meetings and fall asleep.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said it was an issue of â€œpersonal healthâ€ that wouldn't be discussed outside the team.

The Cowboys on Sunday visit Washington.
