Two people are in the Tulsa County jail after a Tulsa Police officer was assaulted early Friday morning.

The officer was responding to a 911 hang-up call at a home in the 5100 block of North Johnstown Avenue. When he and another officer arrived at the home, they began questioning two people in a van parked outside the home.

Tulsa Police say Quante Jackson became agitated and assaulted the officer. He was arrested on an assault complaint among other things.

A passenger, Sylvia Jackson, was also arrested for outstanding warrants.
