The latest Oklahoma Poll from the News on 6 and the Tulsa World shows a closer race for Lieutenant Governor than for Governor but Democrat Jari Askins still leads.
With election day just a week away, our poll shows Askins leading Republican Todd Hiett 49 percent to 38 percent.
Hiett would have to capture all the undecided vote to close the gap.
The next closest statewide race is for Insurance Commissioner where Democrat Kim Holland is trying to keep the job she inherited when Carrol Fisher was convicted of embezzlement.
Holland leads Bill Case in our poll by 10 percent with a large undecided vote still in play.
The 'Don't Knows' could also be a factor in the State Auditor's race where Jeff McMahan leads Gary Jones by just under 10 percent.
The Oklahoma poll has a margin of error of 4 percent. You can find more results and analysis in Wednesday’s Tulsa World.
